Here's my relnotes-ready version: <title>Grub or LILO left over in the MBR from a previous installation</title> <para> If you have an older SuSE Linux installation on your disk which wrote grub or LILO into the master boot record (MBR) of your disk, it will now be replaced by a generic MBR automatically if possible. </para> <para> In case a grub or LILO in the MBR does not belong to the partition you are reinstalling or if you want to keep the old behaviour, it is advised to change the setting "boot loader location" in the [boot loader details(?)] menu. As a permanent solution for multiple Linux systems on one computer we suggest to use a generic MBR that loads a "master grub", or a similar boot selector, that is able to chain load operating system loaders from various partitions. </para> -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
