https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=218437 Summary: Rescue Floppy Doesn't Work and Won't Fit Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: 32bit OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: caogdin@deepwoods.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Navigate to Yast2 | System | Boot or Rescue Floppy, select "Rescue Floppy", click "next"; reports "Getting floppy image," then reports "cannot access installation media," specifically naming the path /book/rescuefloppy as "not on media." 1. This makes sense: There is no way a Rescue Floppy will fit on a floppy any more. So, you've removed the file from the disto. 2. The proper command to create a "Rescue CD" is /sbin/mkrescue --iso --size HD which produces a customized file, image.iso, (of about 17 MB...a bit large for a floppy) that can be "burned" to CD. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
