[Bug 210967] Java files have no default application to run with.

Hi.
Thanks for the bug report and the thoughts you have about the Java stuff and
sorry for the very long delay (Eclipse summit and vacations came between :/ )
I don't think, however that all of your suggestions make sense:
- *.java with java: ... did you mean *.class with java? *.java files are opened
with an editor, which makes sense as those files contain Java source code. If
you meant *.class with java, that would not make much sense neither, as in Java
not every *.class file has a main method.
- *.jar with java -jar: Would make sense in some cases, in most cases it
wouldn't. Jar files can -- but do not need to -- contain classes with a main
method. Most of the time, jars are just archives and should hence be opened
with an archiving program. Perhaps, one could write a wrapper script that
checks, whether it is just an archive or an executable archive.
- *.jnlp with javaws: that should be done, agreed. I will try to find out who
is responsible for that.
