Summary: JBD: barrier-based sync failed on hdd6 - disabling
barriers
Product: openSUSE 10.2
Version: Beta 1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Basesystem
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@xxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx

This is a fresh install of beta1. YaST formated the partition with ext3, it was
reiserfs before.

Everytime I boot I get:

<6>kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
<6>EXT3 FS on hdd6, internal journal
<6>EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
<4>JBD: barrier-based sync failed on hdd6 - disabling barriers
.
.
.
<6>Adding 1036184k swap on /dev/hdb2. Priority:-1 extents:1 across:1036184k
<6>device-mapper: ioctl: 4.7.0-ioctl (2006-06-24) initialised:
dm-devel@xxxxxxxxxx
<4>JBD: barrier-based sync failed on hdd6 - disabling barriers
<6>loop: loaded (max 8 devices)

I am not familiar with ext3 but I do not like things failing and diabling. :)
So is this a bug or a feature?
