https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=215361 Summary: Transaction in progress - retry then works Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: kkaempf@novell.com ReportedBy: dominique.leuenberger@tmf-group.com QAContact: kkaempf@novell.com Libzypp seems to reset it's status processing wrong after outputting an error: Look at this console log: *************************** sirius:/home/dominique/Desktop/src/Packages/ffmpeg # rug in mc Resolving Dependencies... ERROR: A transaction is already in progress sirius:/home/dominique/Desktop/src/Packages/ffmpeg # rug in mc Resolving Dependencies... The following packages will be installed: mc 4.6.1-49 (ftp://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse) Downloading Packages... ************************************* the two 'rug in mc' commands were initiated just one after another. The fisrt one is completely understandable, as zen-updater was downloading packages. Thus: a transaction was in process. The 2nd try should give the same error message, as in the meantime, the zen-updater did not finish! So apparently, after giving an error, libzypp cleans up completely and thinks no more transactions are going on. (in fact, the zen-updater continued it's work) Urgh: I hope anything of this is understandable. Installed packages for reproduction: libzypp-2.5.0-2 libzypp-zmd-backend-7.1.1.0_0.4-17 rug-7.1.100.0-7 zmd-7.1.100.0-18 zen-updater-7.1.100-8 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
