https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=179702 ------- Comment #89 from trenn@novell.com 2006-10-22 07:03 MST ------- About the i8042.nopnp option. There is a ACPI device for the mouse/kbd declared. As for i386 ACPI_PNP is compiled in, I thought the pnp sublayer might recon the PNP id provided by ACPI and break something which could get fixed by the i8042.nopnp=1 option. To be sure someone could try a kernel with PNP_ACPI not compiled in or rip out the device declared in ACPI in DSDT (you might want to send me acpidump and I can do that). Tell me if I should place a kernel without that option on ftp to test. I wonder why ACPI_PNP is compiled in for i386, but not for x86_64. It's marked experimental and I don't know what it could be good for ATM, maybe it has just been overseen. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
