ZenUpdater has been running in the system tray, but did not show me that updates were available. KYum and the Yast-Updater did. When clicking on the system tray ico the message loading services showed me that ZenUpdater was not connected to the updater servers at all!!
Do you mean that the services were reported as "Inactive"? In that case you have to run "rug refresh" or use the "Refresh" context menu entry which is available by right-clicking the Zen-Updater tray icon. zmd checks for updates in regular periods and reports that there are no updates if there were none available last time it checked. That's the way it is, and that's why there is this "refresh" feature to trigger a new check manually. You really don't want to have zmd constantly trying to re-connect the services without being told to do so, believe me.
How can ZenUpdater say "Keine Updtes verfügbar" if it is not connected?!
That's because it discards all catalogs from inactive services. The message is accurate because there are no updates in active services.
Moreover I am consequently annoyed by this error message:
rpm -e skype error: can't create transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/__db.000 This is another bug, yet.
No, this is not a bug at all. You need "root" permissions in order to erase packages with rpm. Please try: su -c "rpm -e skype" -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
