Using "HostIP=" was successful. I was able to both read the autoinst.xml
file
and all the packages from my nfs server.

Oh, try to use
HostIP=192.168.1.2
And have a look at http://www.suse.de/~nashif/autoinstall/linuxrc.html for further information on that.
Mh, I had a look at the documentation an found out, that ip=192.168.1.2 should be ok! I'm not sure, if you have to use a netmask and/or gateway. Maybe you can try that out. http://www.suse.de/~nashif/autoinstall/8.1/html/invoking.html has all the linuxrc keywords.
