I spent the last couple of days working off and on with this shirt design if it is still of interest to anyone. [opensuse-artwork] letterhead for announcement?

Dear creative minds, I've got something for you to chew on: how about we make a nice letterhead for the otherwise boring press announcement? Of course, we send a just-text version, but many journalists get it in a docx file (heresy, I know) or ODF (much better). And we can include a nice letterhead there. Should NOT be 1.7 mb, by the way ;-) I don't have a good suggestion on what it could look like - but it should at least look professional, not playful (we have a release announcement on news.o.o which can be all playful, this one is for official business). What'd yah think? It isn't a MUST HAVE but we have at least a week so maybe someone can come up with something... /Jos

[opensuse-artwork] slides/presentation artwork and templates

Hey all, I've tried to update the first presentation to the new artwork/templates, but while the background looks OK, fonts and such are still very wrong. First of all - the color of the fonts is black. That does NOT work on a black background ;-) Also, the font itself isn't nice, and bigger than the previous one. I suggest to take a openSUSE 12.2 presentation (like openSUSE-1-min.odp) from github and to try and copy in the slides with the new template to move it over. Take a page (say the first one) and switch the master slide to the new: fail. Same for most other pages. This still needs some work ;-) Hugs, Jos

Hello Marking artwork for 12.3 was a very fun and challenging opportunity for all of us. I am happy to have participated of it. A question came up recently for myself. I wanted to do this right and unfortunately I missed the right colors used for 12.3. However, I do not thing that we published a color palette for 12.3. I would like to work with a color palette for the future. Maybe we could make it a rule to generate a color palette given the changes we will be introducing while creating artwork for upcoming distributions. If we create a color palette, we can publish it on our wiki so that any designer looking to make a contribution for the distribution can do it according to published colors for it. What do you think? I could help creating color palettes for publishing if there is common consent that we all want to use it. I was surprised to see that GNOME tells me that my wallpaper changes over time - since I have never seen it change at all. Looking at the files in the package, I don't see a difference in them either. Is this really intented?
