Sounds like a plan. I should be able to hang out for a little bit.
For those who need to convert time zones (as I did) here is a nice little link: http://www.timezoneconverter.com/
So for me, I need to be in the IRC at noon Saturday.

Due to the proximity of the release, only crucial issues and progress only, as to not derail release thus this meeting is for progress reports and to show what is happening and to ask for any assistance (so should be a short meeting) to organise efforts and know exactly what is going on and when should be finished for testing.
Then it will be open floor for anyone to ask for clarification and discuss any issues on their minds related to release, however final decisions will be made on the ML.
Now I must stress this meeting/gathering is going ahead no matter what and at this time, no changes will be made and any mails related to this one will be ignored. Any changes can be asked for at the meeting,
I still don't support this. Michael is doing it exactly the same way as andi did for the flicker contest jury.
For me the weekend is for private life. If we want to do regular meetings, I would prefer if we would schedule it on a weekday.
We can never accommodate everyone, can we? I would personally have suggested to use a http://www.doodle.com/ way of picking a good date/time but if nobody shows up here, that's proof enough it doesn't work and if most/all show up, that shows it works. Don't take it to heavily for now...
I have not seen a doodle on that. This was just an announcement of one single person which is self-declared as somewhat offical. Let's just create a doodle and find a date that fits for the most of us. Jos, if you could create a doodle, that would be fine.
