Enough talk, we've only got a few weeks before 12.3 needs to be out of the door and right now we are way behind. Where possible, I'll be including the links to the appropriate place for the work to be committed to. Good luck, and thank you!
I would like to add to this list that there is also the promotional related stuff for release that needs to be looked at. Typically these pieces are ready approximately 90 days before release date, so that countdown banner can begin.
In 12.2 preparations, all this was completely overlooked until just a few days before 12.2 was released in September, which was kind of funny because 12.2 was actually scheduled for release in July. Thus theoretically, such artwork should have been ready by mid-to-late May at the latest.
Such things to consider include:
- Countdown banners (in multiple sizes) - Web Banners (for blogs, Facebook, Google+, etc.) - Slide Presentation templates - Any other items that Marketing team might request based on the look/feel of 12.3 wallpapers.
Most of these things should be more generic and also re-used over several versions. Maybe the countdown banners could be inspired by the upcoming distro design.
