So if anyone would kindly volunteer to guide me through, it would be much appreciated. I have joined IRC (both #openSUSE and #openSUSE-artwork, my nick is [it-s].
If only we knew ourselves how things work ;-)
Until two releases ago Jakub Steiner - a then SUSE employee - handled 99% of the artwork by his lonely.
So the artwork team is still trying to establish its culture and workflows etc.
So you could say it's a "creative anarchy", much like the rest of our project, everyone bumping along with the occasional milestone to pull things together and the odd ML thread to join the dots Nice to meet you Eugene, I'm Richard Brown - Ilmehtar on IRC, I think we've already met there I'm new to the artwork team too, though long openSUSE user/community geek I did one of the 12.1 submissions and helped up with some of the 12.2 ones I wouldn't consider myself an 'artist' (I'm much better making derivatives than original pieces) but I'm starting to know my way around inkscape and seem to find myself helping out most with turning art into something that actually 'works' in the distro, so implementing, tweaking, finishing, etc seems to be my bag If you're coming to FOSDEM in a few weeks, I'll be at the openSUSE booth, helping out Look forward to working with you -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org Make learning a new skill your New Year*s resolution!
