That is understandable, however it has been the same attitude that has
governed the artwork people for a while and it is really taking us
nowhere in particular. We all have families and things to take care
of, however if you cannot attend a meeting that you did not plan for
is easier than to attend one that you did plan for. That is why it
would be convenient to have a meeting. However, since I have not been
appointed by anyone to do this, I will not do it. We will keep the
status quo until someone else realizes that the artwork team needs to
work together.
I hereby then call this meeting off until someone (with rights) calls
for it again. Matter ended.

Andy, solutions need to be found that suit everyone. People should not be making executive decisions unless they have been appointed by the team to do so.
I agree that Google+ is quite confusing, and it should not be a requirement to use any single social media system, and especially not a proprietary one. Adobe anything is out of the question!
IRC has been traditionally used for openSUSE meetings since time began, and I for one am happy to stick with mailing list and IRC if that suits all members. This also avoids the possibility of 'off the record' discussion and related problems, as all members are aware of the public nature of mailing list discussion.
Also note that finding a time for a synced meeting, when everyone is in a different timezone is not easy.
Personally, I will only be able to maintain involvement if I can be completely flexible about timing so that this in no way infringes on my family obligations, which are my first priority. While real-time conversations are desirable, if attendance at these is a requirement I am unlikely to continue participating.

If you feel like supporting this idea is not good for you then it would be fine to withdraw, however, you would be missing on good potential and good decisions. I am hoping that your aim is not to make this meeting a failure but a success. That is why it would be important to find a good live-sharing service that can host a meeting.

That's fine. Can someone then suggest a place to meet that is also able to transfer voice and images possibly? Like a webinar interface.
I would suggest adobe connectnow but the free version only allows 3 people.
Imho ML is sufficient. If you need to share content, you could e.g. use minus.

I just created a circle called openSUSE artwork on g+ and added the people that have been commenting on this and other threads for the artwork. Please accept the invitation and if some of you have been left out please locate me on g+ under Andres Silva.
I am not on G+ an probably never will be.
