This is the time for brainstorming. Suggestions of the most varied are welcome!
I don't really have much suggestions as I'm not an artist/designer/photographer, but I did followed by close how the Fedora Design Team worked and I have to say that their collaboration methodology and charismatic leadership of Máirín is the secret combination that keeps that team strong (and despite of the issues around F15, much due to opinion makers seeking the spotlight, it is a strong and united team). My suggestion would probably point to the their 'modus operandi'... Fedora distributions have a theme voted and everyone who wants submits their proposals for appreciation. Everyone votes on one design and from that moment on, everyone proposes improvements over the same design, many times the final design has a personal touch of everyone. This page shows a bit of what happened with F14: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F14_Artwork_archive This one is also interesting on a broader view: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F14_Artwork This approach would be something I would suggest to everyone. There is very cool people on this mailing list with ideas, feel free to show them and to raise back from the ashes! That would be the most important thing...
Nelson, so I followed, the new visual identity is saved for last.
Fedora does it the other way around :)
Let's try to get everything ready before launch.
It would be interesting to know what the rest of the people think, Robert's and Javier's opinion would for sure deliever much more value as their expertise would be decisive on this.
