The only reason we have a -default kernel on v7 is that I was hoping we'd get single zImage a bit earlier. Without people actually implementing single zImage on armv5, I don't think the name "default" should exist anywhere in our name space for that platform.
Why would you need a -default kernel? Ok, default is not a right name. Let me rename it qemu or versatile. That way, people can test openSUSE armv5 on qemu (or even on versatile hardware). It will also make a kernel and image templates (and tests) for armv5. That sounds like a great idea :). Patch is in attachment. If ok, I will submit it to -kernel ML. +CONFIG_LOCALVERSION="-default"
Oups.
is bad
What did you base this off of?
I used -default from armv7 which is in fact versatile ARM926.
Sounds good then :). Please change the localversion and submit it to the kernel ML :) Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-arm+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-arm+owner@opensuse.org
