I just ordered one of these: http://gooseberry.atspace.co.uk/ Apparently, it's a table board. Currently, I'd say it's pretty unusable for openSUSE but with a bit of work something could be done, I'm sure. Full cost (including delivery) from England was €51. I wouldn't classify it as "something shiny" yet though... Ciaran
As it stands the Ti based boards, especially the Pandaboard, are what we would recommend due to their better than others upstream support. NB this does not mean it is great, merely better than the competition ;-)
I'm not overly aware of any integrated tablets that are easily hackable, saying that though it is possible to add touch screens to most dev boards. The Samsung powered Origen board is almost identical to several Samsung mobile devices from an innards perspective, but needs work to get openSUSE to support it. Saying that, the GalaxyNexus is effectively a Pandaboard in a mobile, so in theory it should be possible.
If you are looking at getting a cheap Tegra powered device, I would recommend you look at Tegra3 as it has full hardware support comparitive to the other vendors (especially Neon support) compared to the older Tegra2.
