Great, but what does it mean to "users" such as me? Can I start testing 12.2 beta on a Efika smartbook? Do we already have installation notes somewhere?
Changes to an AC100 image have nothing to do with the Efika. The only available installation notes are here: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:OpenSUSE_on_your_ARM_board (or scattered throughout the opensuse-arm list archives) Most people seem to be concentrating on the Pandaboard, everything else is less well documented... I am working on adding instructions for a simple qemu-arm chroot and for getting the AC100 up and running using the official JeOS rootfs plus Joop's kernel.
