I have a weird issue that everything works fine besides my keyboard and mouse. When it boots up there is no keyboard or mouse support.
I can get the keyboard to work if I boot in single user and they goto multi-user, but still the mouse doesn't work.
They are both USB wireless (some microsoft multimedia type). Work fine on SuSe 9.1 which I run now. SuSe 9.2 doesn't startup at all on my configuration (Tyan dual Opteron board with 8gb memory).
Any ideas? Will a normal install still work?
I just experinced the same problem and it's caused by the USB host drivers not being loaded automatically. Strangely enough, this only seems to happen on systems with a separate /var filesystem. Putting uhci-hcd and ehci-hcd into MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT in /etc/sysconfig/kernel fixed it for me. Do a "hwinfo --usb-ctrl | fgrep Driver:" to determine the required modules for your system.
