I'm using --delete-after here, but you need additional space on you server for this. The benefit is that your clients can finish the download of old packages more reliable during the rsync.
This is rsync.opensuse.org, public rsync server of openSUSE.org, limited to 50 connections.
Please note that the server was down on Friday for a short period (~30min): the datacenter guys moved it to a new Rack space. If you synced during that time, the sync might stopped incomplete. Can you please sync again to make sure that the problem is elsewhere? ...and please tell us the time and your IP address during the sync.
