[zypp-devel] libzypp-bindings

Hello, Is this the right place to ask questions regarding the libzypp-bindings project? I searched around and didn't notice a dedicated list for it, so I'm assuming this is. If not, please pardon the disruption. Yes, you found the right list. How can we help you ? Klaus --- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org

I looked around for a python-zypp RPM or libzypp-bindings src RPM for SLES 10.2, but did not find one. So, I grabbed a copy of the sources from a branch (SuSE-SLE-10-SP2) in the libzypp-bindings repo on Gitorious. I'm having some difficulty getting those sources to build. Are they known to build? Am I using the right branch? If so, what version of swig and g++ were used? Uhm, good question.
Am I using the right branch?
The branch should match SUSE SLES 10 SP2, but the bindings are not officially part of SLES 10 and thus unmaintained. You might be better off moving to a more recent version like SLES 11.
If so, what version of swig and g++ were used?
The files generated by swig are self-contained, so you might as well try with the latest version of swig, e.g. from https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=devel:tools:building:swig It should build with the g++ shipped with SLES10.
