OK, so it's just the wording changed. The problem is that it's overlooked by many - and it's crucial to not be overlooked for CD users ;( The checkbox looks unimportant as it's out of the groupbox. The wording is fine I guess.
What are our options if you don't want to add an extra group box (which I can understand)?
Can we make the checkbox default on the CDs and disable on DVDs?
Yes, we actually can make the check-box selected by default for oneCD-installation and enabled unselected by default for DVD-installation but that would be a new feature for product control file. These parts would be affected: - Documentation - Control file (control.xml + oneCD.patch) - Control file handler (YCP module, yast2.rpm) - Installation (YCP client, installation.rpm) That seems to be quite a lot, for already-frozen installation don't you think so? It is written from the developer POV ;) From the customer POV, I'd like to read something as follows: Install openSUSE Packages Additionally from the Internet or Also Install openSUSE Packages from Internet Repositories And in the help text you'd explain, that this "from the Internet" are "official openSUSE repos. You are strongly encouraged make use of these repos, if your boot medium (e.g., the 1-cd-install) carries only a very limited set of software packages." If I got you right, only these openSUSE repos are meant here?

In the installation section of the manual, "repos" are already referenced; so we must limit textual changes. The word "repositories" must occur as part of the label of this option. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

Well, the same string (but different repos) might appear in SLES 11 dialogs so defining "openSUSE Packages" is wrong. We just don't know which repositories will be there, that's the trick :) We download the list from web ;) Even with descriptions. And yes, currently (Beta1) there are only three official openSUSE repos., If you run the same feature on the running system, you'll get also other ones. L.

So I'd rather go for: Install Software from Pre-Selected Repositories Or "pre-defined". Or simply "from configured repos". I'd rather avoid the word "Internet" in the option label (we could mention it in the help text instead). Maybe, the user also has to install packages from his Intranet, packages provided on an update server by the local admin. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: yast-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: yast-devel+help@opensuse.org

I suggest to use "Add On-line Repositories.." ? Would that help? Stano
