Can you post 'fglrxinfo -t' and 'cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log', please?
Thanks,

OK, I put everything on my www-Server at http://srv1.dynalias.net/~ell/ATI-debug/ but this address is only active at normal German office-hours, approximately. Hope you can get it. Ekk.
Meanwhile I have done some testing and I found some "stable" Konfiguration for fglrx_6_8_0_SUSE100-8.18.6-1.i386.rpm This means glxgears is working correctly, but not fgl_glxgears. No error messages seen. fgl_glxgears shows acceptables frame rates but the wrong graphical output is mosttimes black with sometimes a rotating blue cube and missing surface-gears. Any hints? Xorg.0.log, xorg.conf, glxinfo.txt are to be seen at http://i01p11.lrt.unibw-muenchen.de/~ell/ATI/ Ekkehard

Configuration is correct. Probably this is a driver bug. Best regards, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.) I guess the 9100 isn't widely tested (too old). While render-to-texture
(used in this demo) should be a driver only issue, I guess it is not
tested for this card.

Additional Information: The same card is running on SUSE 9.3 with working fgl_glxgears and 8.10.19-1.1-driver. Ekkehard

In that case you should test the old driver. Unfortunately, you have to
install them manually (the old ATI installer isn't capable of creating a
SUSE compatible rpm), and uninstalling is a PITA.
Acutally, it's quite possible that the old driver won't compile any more
for a recent kernel. In that case you are lost.
I wouldn't be surprised if the old drivers worked and the new won't. If
you can confirm this, I can open a bug report in our tracking system,
but that's won't help much either.

When you see the boot screen, look to the bottom, you'll have options to change the resolution for the install process.

No, you have to press <F2> on the boot screen to get these options.
Yes, I hate that as well.

Meanwhile I got a notice from ATI, maybe somebody else is interested in:
The engineers are aware of the issue and a EPR has been create. EPR 142523 fgl_glxgears doesn't work correctly on R200 chip It may be fixed in the next release.
