Besides other reasons I hoped my problem being solved with upgrade from Suse8.2 to 9.1 My problem is, that I don't geht working my Radeon9200SE with my LG Flatron 1910B using DVI.

With 8.2 I used the driver suplied by ATI. All Infos didn't help to succeed. Console was ok, but with switching to X-Server ony the analog output is working (switching back to a console window ctl-ALT-Fn) allows using the DVI, but not with the X-session.

With 9.1 I use the driver suppplied with the distribution. Configured by SaX2 in runlevel 3, selecting Radeon9200SE an monitor LG Flatron 1811B(digital) - no 1910B available - Finishing SaX a Testscreen is displayed and I can see it with DVI. After starting x-server with init 5 or reboot, the old story: X-Session only analog.

Somebody out there who can help?

Hello all! problem solved. It seams, that I still had the ATI-driver active. ATI has an own Config-tool generating a XF86Config-4. This seams to have had preference over the SAX2 generated XF86Config. After renaming the ...-4 version now it seams to have used the SAX2-version and I'm up and running my X and KDE on digital line. Only difference is the color. I have selected a blue-based set. Before the above changes mit windows were blue and gray. Now all is violett. Only a marked file in conqueror or kmail is blue. But I hope to solve that in a collorset which is acceptible for me. Thanks to all and have a good time. hartmut
