I posted on novell's forums about this but I doubt anyone at novell is particularly concerned with opensuse. I apologize if I sent this question to the wrong list, but xorg seemed the closest match to my problem since I'm trying to get graphics card support. I looked through all kinds of junk before i posted. Here's my problem:
To make a long story short, adding opensuse-community.org as a repository was not working - it spent about ten minutes downloading who knows what (a bunch of small files, judging from the speed with which the windows popped up and disappeared), and then gave me a bunch of error messages. Fantastic. I then removed every trace of ATI from yast, and tried to use this link:
That didn't seem as bad in terms of actually adding the repository, but then I got this recommendation from yast due to a conflict:

No thanks! Where should I go from here? I feel like the opensuse-community.org should at least be notified that their repository isn't working very well with openSUSE 10.3.
