I tried to rewrite a DVD+RW disk. Xfburn doesn't allow to blank a disk. And it doesn't write anything.

Then I tried Brasero. And it works.

I no longer have any device for DVD+RW etc to be able to meaningfully help. Which version of xfburn are you using?
It could be us missing a dependency but you should equally nudge Xfce upstream about this.
