[opensuse-xfce] Looking for Midori maintainer
Hello. I have no time and skills to maintain the Midori package. First, it is failed to build for Factory at the moment. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/X11:xfce/midori Second, version 6.0 is released (https://github.com/midori-browser/core/releases) I have tried to compile the release 6.0. It works, but looks and feels ugly. Bad news: I lost the spec for 6.0. It was heavily different against the current spec. -- WBR Kyrill
Hi Kyrill, I can look into it. Do let me know if you find the missing spec though. Cheers, Maurizio Galli (MauG) On 11/20/18 1:27 AM, Kyrill Detinov wrote: Hello. Hello. Found it. http://susepaste.org/1052485 -- WBR Kyrill
Yes as far as I can tell the new UI is pretty ugly. Not sure if this can be changed inside the spec file yet. I welcome any ideas :P Maurizio Galli (MauG) On Tue, Nov 20, 2018 at 4:30 PM Behrens, Lars (PHI) <lars.behrens@kit.edu> wrote:

I tried out the the snap package (with Xubuntu, that is), I think it *is* ugly with that massive title bar.

I've made a package. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/X11:xfce/midori Would be great if someone can help me test it before it's forwarded to Factory. Maurizio Galli (MauG) On Tue, Nov 20, 2018 at 1:28 AM Kyrill Detinov <lazy.kent@opensuse.org> wrote:

Hi,
I've made a package. https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/X11:xfce/midori Would be great if someone can help me test it before it's forwarded to Factory.
I just installed it on my Leap 15 setup and clicked everything through. Seems fine so far. The only thing I'm missing are extensions though I'm not sure if there even are some per default in upstream. I also noticed that the extensions are missing and after talking with upstream I think it's related to this issue here: https://github.com/midori-browser/core/issues/165 It's supposedly fixed in the master branch by this PR: https://github.com/midori-browser/core/pull/168 I will run some tests with it later. The latest update in X11:xfce fixes the extension bug and some other things. About the UI there isn't much to do as they decided to go with "Client Side Decoration" by default. One work around to get the title bar back is to edit/add the following line in the midori.desktop file: Exec=env GTK_CSD=0 midori %u Maurizio Galli (MauG) On Tue, Nov 20, 2018 at 11:11 PM Maurizio Galli <maurizio.galli@gmail.com> wrote:
