Hey,
it took some time but i think i have, except for some minor details, finished the Help: namespace with all the help and guidelines to work with the new wiki. Please go to
http://wiki.opensuse.org/Portal:Wiki
and dive into it. After you read the content linked from this Portal you should be up to speed for the new wiki. If you find something wrong, missing or opaque fix it yourself (this is a wiki ;) or leave a note at
http://wiki.opensuse.org/Portal:Wiki/TODO
and i see what i can do. Have Fun...

I like that portal layout is not set in a stone to every little detail with http://wiki.opensuse.org/Template:Portal .
Now everything makes more sense.
Maybe few more templates for Portal: namespace can help to keep number of different versions under control.

Oh yes thats a big feature of the portal template. Thats why its done with so many templates instead of one big clumsy page. Layout is seperated from content...

I'm glad it does.

Different version of what? The template?

Yes, to make editor's life easier we can add shapes (layouts) that are proven good in a MultiBoilerplate list.
Henne,
very good progress! Thanks for making us aware. That said, may you please give me another shout once we managed to populate wiki.o.o (the other Portals/namespaces) with a respectable amount of content? I'll then make some more fuzz about it at the usual news channels (as discussed/planned previously) in order to raise the Community's attention and in order to gain potential contributors for the transition.
Thanks, R
