Hi,
unfortunately I will not be able to join the meeting, so here are some additional information that might be useful:
0. MediaWiki Upgrade Good new on this front: The staging server is finally up and running (it took some time to adjust the iChain plugin). However, we decided to wait until after the 11.2 launch to go live. We will use the eytra time for more testing and move the system to more powerful hardware and SLES 11.

With the new MediaWiki in staging, this is the perfect time to install new extensions. There currentlky is a list of requested extensions at http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team/Requested_Extensions
I am not sure whether all of them are needed, so this might be something worth discussing.
From an administration standpoint, I would like to keep the number of extensions to an absolute _minimum_. Each extension might add potential security holes and makes updating the wiki more difficult.
As for the Semantic MediaWiki and FalggedRevs Extensions: I haven't digged too deep into the documentation of these extensions, but I think they both require to rw databse access. We should be absolutely sure we need and want any extension that writes into the wiki database, because I guess it will be difficult getting rid of such an extension. We also need to make sure that such an extension is well maintained (this seems to be tha case with both extensions mentioned above), otherwise this might lead to a Wiki that is not upgradeable anymore.

My biggest problem with templates is how to know which ones exist and how to find them. We need to categorize and document them.

We'll discuss this during the Meeting this evening. The MediaWiki extensions are anyway an agenda topic already - thanks for the overview at http://en.opensuse.org/Wiki_Team/Requested_Extensions.

I completely understand.

FlaggedRevs may become the flagship of our new QA process, so this extension would be urgently required if we decide to neglect the sandboxing approach. The Semantic MediaWiki extension is from my perspective a good thing, i.e. desirable. If we may achieve better searchability using another approach I'm fine with this as well (Google integration) - this needs discussion. As you're the initial requester of the Semantic MediaWiki extension and due to the fact that you're not able to attend the meeting I'd propose to start a ML discussion after the meeting about that particular point.

Aligned! I plan to introduce an explanation of certain wiki-templates within the Usage Guidelines we'd like to come up with. The Usage of ALL templates may be described at a seperate page linked from within the Guidelines (and this is certainly desirable/important) +1
