can we please add a policy that every migrated page has to have the redirect page for its old name? And on top of that add the redirects for all pages that are already migrated?
You want the old wiki back with no focus on readers, no maintainable structure, no help for contributors, no standards.
We are more than happy to help fixing the external links or fixing weak points in the new wiki.
Simply going back is no option, sorry.
why do you always answer like this? the OP don't ask to keep the old wiki but to redirect old links to the new wiki. look like the best thing we can do to promote the new one. I was teached in the old time "never break a link". If there is no real identical new page, simply redirect to the category page or to the internal search. All the users having to go transparently to the new wiki don't forget *all* the pages of the *non english* wikis have the same name as the old en wiki to allow switching.
