it's been a long time since you have last heard about the openSUSE.org redesigning efforts. Robert and I have been busy with it the last few weeks and we would like to present you the first milestone we have reached: a new and improved download page which will be hosted on download.opensuse.org:
http://www.suse.de/~fs/opensuse/download/
We got a lot of feedback from users who were confused by the existing download page, so we decided to use JavaScript to make the page interactive. For users having deactivated JavaScript the old download interface will still be present.
Please let us know what you think about the page and if and where you see room for improvement.
I like the general design a lot :) What I see as a usability problem is that the links to start the real download like "Installation DVD" looks like a small passive text, but not like something what you can click on. IMHO this should be really way more visible, maybe with some nice download grafic or DVD icon or something alike. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nrnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-wiki+help@opensuse.org
