Dear mbarringer,
I found your adres in the about field of "SUSE Studio Image Writer".
Please refer to: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-help-here/install-boot-login/444430- installation-usb-stick-using-suse-studio-image-writer.html
Is imagewriter supposed to be used with .iso images? If yes there is a bug.
It was mentioned in the wiki before it should be able to be used with .iso images. But I found one of the editors removed this info from the page. http://en.opensuse.org/index.php?title=SDB:Live_USB_stick&oldid=25132 http://en.opensuse.org/index.php?title=SDB:Live_USB_stick&diff=next&oldid=25132

Yes, it is possible (I just tested it yesterday... to put a Fedora LiveCD on an USB stick :) ), but it is not straight away. On windows, SUSE Studio Image Writer allows you to see *.raw file only. To select an ISO, you have to press "Select", then put "*.*" on the "filename" text box in order to see all files. You you can then choose the .iso file. However, drag'n'drop the ISO on the application doesn't work. I'll update the wiki asap.
