Imo it would be the right place to inform people about the retail box and as far as I remember we had this with former versions.
Moin moin, I do not know/do not really care what was done before but I think it would be at least appropriate - on the German mailinglist were also questions why no button for/way of donating to the community exists. Maybe that indirect way to financially support a part of the openSUSE project should be presented a bit less 'subtly'?
