[opensuse-web] Custom Login Page
Hello, Since the vast majority of sites have been migrated from iChain to Access Manager, there is no reason to retain single sign-on between the two systems. As a result, we will be able to take advantage of the custom login pages feature of Access Manager, starting tomorrow. The developers for suse.com have already created a login page, and I plan to use it as the opensuse login for the time being. It's a very attractive page, but if a volunteer would like to create a login that's a little closer to the Bento theme, they are welcome to contact me. Thank you, Matt

Hello, I am just new to the openSUSE-web. And I really would like to contribute in this area of openSUSE. I have experience with Rails,HTML,CSS and Javascript. So, with login you mean the basic html/css layout of it? Or is rails/php or any other language is associated to it ? Thanks
Matt

The login page itself will be a JSP, but they usually have little to no logic in them. The libraries used on the identity servers are not your standard JDK, so that can somewhat limit the Java functionality. This page would probably be mostly styling work, although the community may think of some interesting programatic features that I haven't considered. If you are still interested, I can get you in touch with some of the other volunteers who work on the www and wiki themes. I have had the pleasure of knowing a lot of good web developers, and these guys are some of the best around. -Matt

I havent used or come across JSP before. But like you mentioned, its more about styling so I am still willing to volunteer. As I believe, there is no harm in giving it a try , right ? :) So, its a yes from me
