[opensuse-usability] Poor contrast in the scroll bar
There is a problem with the KDE default theme, and also with the qtcurve style. There is not enough contrast between the scroll bar and the background (where the scroll bar slides). Very often I need to squint and look hard to see where the scroll bar is. The scroll bar needs to be easily visible because it offers indication of how long a page is and where I am reading it. I suggest making the background darker or making the scroll-bar blueish. I'll filed this as a bug in kde bug tracker http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144702 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-usability+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-usability+help@opensuse.org
He he. Exactly today I have opened a feature-request on windo-decorations topic in opensuse-artwork mailing list. what a timing ! Can you add yourself there too ? or view history? Or do you want me to open my bug request? so you could look at it? -- -Alexey Eremenko "Technologov" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-usability+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-usability+help@opensuse.org

Usually a request on a mailing list doesn't have high chances of being implemented except when a developer reads it. It's better if you open a bug in bugzilla. In this case I have opened one in bugs.kde.org because this is not an opensuse specific bug. In case there will be a KDE 3.5.7 maybe the bug will get noticed and fixed. Or not, because it's not something major. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-usability+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-usability+help@opensuse.org

Agreed and opened a bug report.

Disagree. Actually SUSE team modifies KDE heavily, so it could be implemented in SUSE, even without KDE support. Hi Alexey, Sincerely I'm not thrilled with window decorations in XP style. It is shiny step backwards. It brings too strong colors on the screen. Almost any real world image will look poor and discolored. Before you disagree, don't forget that different people have different sight and perception of colors. What is nice and acceptable for one it can look screeming colors for the other. -- Regards, Rajko. http://en.opensuse.org/Portal -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-usability+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-usability+help@opensuse.org

You call that "usability"? Gawd! If you like to walk around with shot eyes, it's your personal preference, I, for one, don't. :-) That is why there are themes. I just want to be able to see where's the scroll bar, without straining. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-usability+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-usability+help@opensuse.org
