Re: [SuSE Linux] ZIP+ and SuSE 5.3 - Help
I still am unable to get my ZIP+ external to work with SuSE 5.3. I have kernel 2.0.36 and if someone could tell what the steps are in plain english, it would be most appreciated. Or if it's not possible with + drive, it would great to know. Thanks so much, -Dee Look at Dave Campbell's Linux-Zip drive

He says that the Zip Plus Drive is not supported by linux 2.0.x or 2.1.x, but that a PATCH exists for 2.0.35. So if this info is true you might have to downgrade your current kernel to 2.0.35 and download and install the patch in order to use that particular zip drive. Hope this helps. -M - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
