mysql permissions
Hi everyone. sorry, a bit OT but I'm away from the office and have gone blank. I need 1. to create a user clara who can only work on the database astro 2. change an existing user dave to only work on the database astro Thanks. Steve.
Look into the 'db' table of the primary mysql database. It sets these permissions. Jim 03/23/02 10:50:20 AM, scc <fsanta@arrakis.es> wrote:

GRANT SELECT,UPDATE,INSERT,DELETE ON astro.* TO clara IDENTIFIED BY 'pasword';

Remove any permisions that he has in the user table of the mysql database, and then set his permissions in the db table. HTH, -v -- Victor R. Cardona Powered by SuSE Linux 7.1 (i386) Professional GPG key ID E81B3A1C Key fingerprint = 0147 A234 99C3 F4C5 BC64 F501 654F DB49 E81B 3A1C
