To answer my own question: In YaST control center got to CD Patches. Hit the expert button. Choose "directory", select the folder where the patches are. Hit continue. If you get an error hit the details button and make sure you have the paths/folders set up correctly. mark bannister wrote:

I was playing around with installing SuSE 8.2 from cd. All went fine except my netowrk card could not be configured. Now on another system I installed the same card after intial install and it works fine, so I assume there is an update that cures this. How do I get the updates without a network? It's a dual boot so I could download them to a windows directory but how do I tell YaST to use them? Would the updates I need to somewhere on my other installation?
