problem replying to some HTML emails with KMail

I would like to know if others have run into this situation: Certain e-mails I receive come in as HTML mail and they are not broken up by mime type (where I can see body part plain text, body part html in the seraprate window pane). I can deal with being forced to view this as HTML, but when I reply to these types of messages I would like to be able to reply as plain text without all of the HTML tags appearing in the reply message. This only happens on certain types of messages I receive that I try to reply to. Sylpheed and Evolution manage to handle these HTML mails such that it will always break it out into an html type and a plain text type and replying as plain text works fine. I'm not sure why KMail is not able to handle these types of messages in the same way. KMail does handle this fine on most of the HTML I receive and try to reply to, but not on certain ones. Falling short of bitching to the the senders of this kind of mail, is there any way that KMail can deal with these messages better that I'm not aware of? Thanks, -- Rick
