anybody using vuze (packman) on 11.3? i was using it on 11.2 w/o problem, but after upgrading to 11.3 it crashes the moment download would start. the empty files are created, but nothing else. i get a debug trace which talks mainly about the java environment and means nothing to me. if this happens to others, too, where would i report the bug? -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I don't use vuze, however I know that 11.3 changed the default from Sun's java to OpenJDK. You can change it back to Sun's java with update-alternatives -- config java as root. Perhaps this will fix it.
phani.

i did that already; otherwise chromium betaq wouldn't start, crashing with some errormessage i don't remember anymore. googling told me that chromium would run with sun java, which it does. perhaps it's the other way around, and vuze expects openJDK? anyway, i'll wait until somebody else says that it either works or not. i do like ktorrent better, but i frequengly have to switch it off, kill all the processes, and start again; otherwise it'll go extremely slow or not at all. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
