Slow grpahics in Games

I've noticed that games I've installed have VERY slow grpahics respose: Chromium, Unreal Tournament, and TuxRacer. I have no idea what the problem is (I suspect it's graphics rendering, but I don't know how to check or modify) nor do I have any idea how to fix the problem. Unfortuantely, the only description of the problem that I can give is SLOW response (i.e. I move the mouse and a second or so later, the subject responds). Any ideas?

I also had the same problem with an installation i recently did.... You need to install the right drivers for your card, in order to use all its power... Fortunatly, my card was Nvidia based, and they have all the right drivers for every Suse distro. After that, now Tuxracer rules!! :) -------------------------------------------------------- Juan Francisco Torres Ch. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keith Winston" <kwinston@twmi.rr.com> To: <suse-linux-e@suse.com> Sent: Thursday, July 04, 2002 1:06 PM Subject: Re: [SLE] Slow grpahics in Games problem the

It is very likely that you don?t have 3D acceleration running try 3Ddiag to see if there are error messages or warnings, and also what are the FPS of the program /usr/bin/gears The answer may depend on your card. You should read http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/glx_64.html and look for 3D and video acceleration in the SDB. -----Original Message----- From: Barry Willett [mailto:bcwillett2@attbi.com] Sent: Thursday, July 04, 2002 12:38 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: [SLE] Slow grpahics in Games I've noticed that games I've installed have VERY slow grpahics respose: Chromium, Unreal Tournament, and TuxRacer.
