I have very poor luck with this program. I am syncing a Clie via USB. Every so often I can get it to sync, but 90% of the time I only get that the device is linked in the log and then nothing happens after that and the hotsync icon in the KDE tray is frozen. Has anyone tried KitchenSync? Is it any more reliable? Greg Engel

Have you tried just using pilot-link from the command line? If that's not working, it suggests either that your pilot-link is broken or that your connection isn't working. If pilot-link does work, it's just KPilot - try JPilot or any other GUI of your choice :-) John -- John Pettigrew Headstrong Games john@headstrong-games.co.uk Fun : Strategy : Price http://www.headstrong-games.co.uk/ Board games that won't break the bank

Yes, pilot-link itself works, and so does kpilot itself a small percent of the time. I could switch to JPilot, but I wanted the integration with KDE tools. Greg Engel

I've not used KPilot so don't know what advantages it has. If pilot-link always works and KPilot only works sometimes, I can only suggest that the problem lies with KPilot. Can you get a newer version installed and see whether that helps? Failing that, I think moving to a different tool is probably the only answer. JPilot is excellent!
