Flash Card reader stops working under 9.1
Folks, This is odd. I've a flash card reader, a dumb little "Dazzle" brand one. It worked with a manual mount under 8.2, but under 9.1, I can't make it mount at all ... neither manually nor automagically. Can I get a pointer to some diagnostic utilities and hints? I'm kinda stumped, the device is acting like it's not plugged in (and yeah, I did check that). -- Josh Berkus Aglio Database Solutions San Francisco

Well, never mind. Seems I had a bad flash card. Anyone know if there's a way to format a flash card under Linux? -- Josh Berkus Aglio Database Solutions San Francisco

Josh I had the same problems as you have. I fixed it by starting up Digikam what recognized my camera (never recognized it before) and way it went. HTH. -- Greetings from /bill at 169 west , 19 south. Disclaimer: Any errors in spelling, tact, or fact are transmission errors."
That's the opposite of what I got. My flash card didn't work well under 9.1, and the camera (Canon A300) worked only "OK". Under 9.2 the camera doesn't work very well at all and the flash card reader works just great. It's probably just kernel stuff. -- Carpe diem - Seize the day.
