Hello all
I have my email server set up with dovecot and sendmail. Whenever, I receive a
message to that server it get repeated continuous so that after a short while
I receive over a hundred copies of the same message. Does anyone have any
idea what is going on or what I might need to change in the configuration. I
am using opensuse 13.1, kde 4.11.5 and kernel 3.11.10-21-desktop x86_64
Would be grateful if someone had any helpful suggestions.

You have to look carefully at the mail logs and the mail headers. There
is nothing anybody can say from distance, except wild guesses.
wildguess: a forward loop to yourself.
For instance, you can check the message-id field.
Send an email to yourself, and verify logs on both sending server and
receiving server.
Check if it happens with any address, both "from" and "to".

The only time I had repeats was when my ISP switched to Yahoo for
email. For a while there was a problem with some spam causing fetchmail
to choke and then restart the mail download. It took a fair bit of
research with Wireshark to find that one.
How are you retrieving the mail?

I have seen this on my kmail on openSUSE 13.2 with KDE 4.143.80. On this
system with 13.1 i do not see it.
