Konqueror dead forever??
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 OK, to begin, I did something wrong. I have *NO* idea what, but I did it, it's my fault. That out of the way: Somehow, my bookmarks - all of them - got dropped down into the bookmarks toolbar. I didn't intend this, but it happened. So I started to try to recover it. Right now, the bookmarks are *STILL* on the bookmarks toolbar - and I have *NO* menu in Konqueror. Things have been going from bad to worse at an exponential rate. I don't want to lose my bookmarks - but Konqueror is pretty much useless right now. I can switch to Mozilla and assume that I've got a completely dead piece of software - but that seems rather silly and extreme. Does anyone have any ideas how to recover? I'd be glad to tell you what I did, but I have absolutely no idea. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/VUctjeziQOokQnARAh62AKCE7uedUHb7OuF5Jfdsjrx4BopelACgpaD7 htNtEDQD+x79PBsixlU0HqI= =HhSt -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

CTRL-m will bring the menus back. It is a toggle. Charles -- "However, complexity is not always the enemy." -- Larry Wall (Open Sources, 1999 O'Reilly and Associates)

Maybe, but right now it doesn't seem to be toggling anything -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/VdrRjeziQOokQnARAq0tAJ9zgxh+2Et+XDORng26ho+sRZ01zwCghjq9 BnqAp2iJYrbXUGgTnsoKOHY= =Pz6T -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Firstly your bookmarks should be located in the following directory. ~ /.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml which I doubt has been lost or mucked up. From what you are saying it looks like you have truned off the menu in Konqueror. To get it back try CTRL-M -- Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------------------------------

CTRL-M doesn't seem to do anything. You're absolutely correct that the menus are off ... I just have no clue how I did it - or how to get them back (yet) Thanks much - ---Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2-rc1-SuSE (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/VdqdjeziQOokQnARAgrYAKCxiQkmzarCDWjZWE3BF5Pj/jNJCQCfWGRV tmOD7m17yJrCxrTAdun1Ri8= =N4xo -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
