I've been having problems with Mozilla crashing on machines I've loaded with 8.2. It may be happening when a plug-in is run. I say this because it crashes only on sites with lots of advertising like www.weather.com. I tried Mozilla 1.4 from Mozilla.org but still have the problem. This problem doesn't happen with Mozilla 1.2 on SuSE 7.2.

Please run mozilla from the command line and tell us what the messages are. I had a similar problem and I tracked it down to a java plug-in mismatch with Mozilla 1.4. I replaced the java plug-in with another one and the problem disappeared.
