Hi, I think you'll need most of them (sorry I'm not bringing my laptop right now, I'm using winbox). Just: 1. Download everything in the ftp site. 2. Type "rpm -qa|grep x|sort > xlist.txt". Find each entry in xlist.txt that match with rpm-binary you download. On my system, I think there're 7 or 8 packages (I didn't install rpm for x print server). Then just update each packages with "rpm --nodeps --force -Uvh <package_name>". 3. In addition, you need to install the rpm with "compat" word. 4. restart x. Hope that helps. -- Verdi March -- --- Phil Shrimpton <phil@shrimpton.co.uk> wrote:

Hi,
I had problems with font also. On certain size, they're not renderred well (too big, ziggy). But once I upgrade xfree86 to 4.2, all fonts are looked good. Could not guarantee it'll solve your problem, but you may want to try..
I will give it a try. There are a lot of RPM's for 4.2 on the SuSE FTP, do I need all of them? (Or should I wait for SuSE 8?)
