If you can tell - or point me to advice on - how I could run kde5, say at weekends, while maintaining my kde4 for workday/weekday use, I'd be grateful.
VirtualBox.
Which kernel in the host? What about all those other components?
Manjaro VirtualBox host: 4.4.19-1 Manjaro I've also tested with 4.7.2.1 but 4.4 is LTS. (switching kernels is a piece of cake with Manjaro). VirtualBox 5.1.4 (manjaro repository) KDE Framework 5.25.0 Qt 5.7.0 (VMS in this box at present are only Windows Server- running headless most of the time, but I need to put uf a freebsd VM soon so that will change). I have another Manjaro Virtual Machine on running under Vmware. that I use for testing and breaking stuff. I played with other dekstops, XFCE4, Gnome, came back to KDE. Even with only intel video, I have all be bling turned on in the Manjaro Host as well as the Manjaro vm and I get perfect performance. (even wobbly windows If I want to show off). I have Yet another Opensuse box hosting Vmware too, but its mostly for testing code is various versions of window. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
