URGENT : Intel extreme graphics + X query
Hi all, I am about to buy a Mobo but I am not sure how does intel extreme graphics card, integrated on the motherboard from intel [d845 gebv2 for DDRAM], fair with SuSE Linux 8.2. Can anyone give me some idea? Also, whether 3D apps run on this card. The card says that it supports openGL but I am not sure whether they have Linux driver like NVIDIA. How does this compare to a RiVA TNT2? Please send in the replies as soon as possible. I believe, if you will check, that XFree86 4.3 supplied with 8.2 does support this graphics chipset, although I am not sure how well your 3D will be at this time. Your best bet is to get a good supported card and just turn off the internal graphics as they are seldom any good anyway.
