I've never used IRC, but I need to take part in a 8 person IRC meeting on monday. What's an easy client for me to use? And how do I invoke it? (I'm very CLI inclined, so I don't use X much.) Hopefully one that is built into SuSE 8.0. TIA Greg

BitchX is good, help is easy to google. -- (o< //\ Powered by SuSE Linux V_/_ Virusproof. Crashproof. 10:58am up 4 days, 14:04, 23 users, load average: 1.21, 1.22, 1.25 processes 3962668

If it's a console client you want, try BitchX, that's included with 8.0 Or 'irc' (I think the package name is ircii) the original and IMHO still the best console based client. With both of them, you can get help once you've started them by typing /help -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.1) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
