Does anybody know an address from where I can download the rpm4 for SuSE? Where can I find the source for it?

Currently, SuSE only uses a patched version of RPM v3 because RPM v4 doesn't work on some of the platforms that SuSE supports. One of the things that is changed in the SuSE version is that support for RPM v4 files is added. (So unless the file is explicitly depending on RPM v4, it should work)

From what I have read in other threads, the next version of SuSE will switch over to RPM v4.
